Exhibition "A Retrospective: Harry Koundakjian, Photojournalist"

CUNY Graduate Center

This event has ended.

Harry Koundakjian worked for Associated Press (AP), the world's largest news gathering organization, for over 40 years covering the hottest spots in the Middle East and elsewhere. He has won many awards, including World Press Photo prize and the coveted Managing Editors plaque, for reporting wars, famines, floods, and earthquakes in 22 countries. He brought the same integrity and sensitivity to covering refugees and atrocity victims as he did to exclusive photo sessions with world figures like Libya's Khadafi, Egypt's Sadat, Syria's Assad, Jordan's King Hussein and the Shah of Iran.
