This event has ended.

Ghada Amer and Reza Farkhondeh have cultivated an artistic collaboration spanning over 20 years, though they have only recently begun to exhibit their collective works publicly as RFGA. Their partnership seamlessly merged their two distinctive styles to create a dynamic visual vocabulary. For Roses Off Limits the pair created their newest body of work by coupling appropriated sexual images with floral patterns punctuated by the traditional craft of hand embroidery. The impact of their repetitive use of explicit subject matter is simultaneously neutralized by their use of overlapping veils of blossoms and hand embroidery, allowing their images to provocatively peek in and out of the foreground. Each of the 25 monoprints on view was individually conceived and created by the artists with the assistance of Pace’s master printers. The exhibition is accompanied by an illustrated catalogue with an essay by the acclaimed poet and critic Vincent Katz.
