Martin La Rosa’s new paintings explore “portraiture” and present us with realistic impressions that connect the viewer with the subject in a different way. These engaging portraits, which depict the artist's
friends and colleagues, reveal beyond who the person is, and they show experiences, memories, and time. In some cases, just through an object, these paintings continue to intrigue us with the unveiling of a story, moreover, of a life.
Martin La Rosa has exhibited his paintings in Latin America, the United States and Europe. He has obtained various awards such as the Second Prize at the San Telmo painting exhibition in Argentina, an “Honors” Mention at the Palais the Glace National Exhibition Hall in Buenos Aires and the First Prize in recognition of his work, with a scholarship to study in Italy.
Praxis was founded in 1977 and has since evolved into a leading contemporary Latin American art gallery. Starting in Buenos Aires, Praxis aimed to spread the richness of this diverse and dynamic culture throughout the world. The Praxis mission is to bring the compelling creativity and imagination of Latin American art forward to a worldwide audience in exhibitions throughout its network of galleries.
