This event has ended.

Throughout her travels in Asia, Africa, Hawaii and other regions Ana Tzarev developed a remarkable knowledge of indigenous flowers by researching and exploring the local crops and wild flowers. Tzarev was greatly inspired by the flower merchants of Southeast Asia and the vista of their boats overflowing with fresh flowers on the way to market. Ana Tzarev has a special affinity for the exotic flowers of Hawaii, represented in this exhibition in a group of vibrant watercolors and larger acrylic paintings . Many of the flowers featured in these paintings, such as the variety of roses and sunflowers, were grown in the garden outside her studio in Europe where her typical summer day includes an early morning survey to select the blossoms and a disciplined day in the studio painting them.
