Peter G. Ray’s work is a post modern amalgamation that rides the edge between hope and an apocalyptic vision that pulls the viewer in the vortex of the painting, transporting them through a time and space continuum on the other side of a parallel reality. His work draws as much inspiration from surrealist, modern, and classical art influences,as from the drips of an industrial paint room of an auto-body shop. Embedded within the naturally recurring shapes through out his painting is a personal and organic motif that slams together parallel realities; like a super colliding experiment we encounter the residue, the elusive self.
