Influenced by her grandmother and mother’s participation in Japanese tea ceremony, Fusako Matsumoto took up the ceramic art of "Raku" our of a desire to perform tea ceremony with ceramics that she had made. The 400-year history of "Raku" consists of one piece of flat ceramic created from the inside– in this art, it is said that it all begins with green tea bowls and in ends in green tea bowls. The exhibition features over 30 works, some specifically created for the occasion.
