The AC [Institute] inaugurates its performance series this Thursday, February 12th from 6-8pm through a dialogue between John Neeson’s site-specific installation Northern Light in the Chapel space and an improvisatory musical installation which reflects upon and interacts with it.
For this performance multi-instrumentalists Benjamin Lanz and Kyle B. Resnick will be exploring the acoustic blueprint of a unique spatial situation. Inspired by the dimensions and location of the AC [Chapel] and also Neeson’s work, they will be creating multi-instrumental soundscapes as part of a live sound installation. Manipulating the possibilities of volume, timbre and spatial relation, sound waves will explore every surface towards the realization of a truly co-performative use of space, art and public.
