This event has ended.

Judd, who died in 1993, was one of the most articulate and passionate artists of the Post-War period. Judd, whose sculptures first gained attention in the early 1960s, was radical in his complete rejection of any trace of subjectivity or personal narrative for his art. Instead, Judd insisted that the meaning of his work resided exclusively in its formal properties. In the hands of an artist with less imagination this tactic might have made for a lifetime of dry repetition, but Judd created an art of formal playfulness, sensuous color and surprising complexity. Judd's print work, which was his only sustained attempt to fashion a two-dimensional counterpart to his sculpture, offers a glimpse into the development and maturation of one of America most influential artists.
