Christina Back "Rendered"
Artbreak Gallery
This event has ended.
The "Rendered" project by Christina Back, is a continuous investigation into the possibility of embedding ambiguous elements in visually factual images. The studies are based upon a specially constructed pin-hole camera that, by scanning, folding and defragmenting a space or a person, offers the possibility of creating a more impressionistic photograph where a new filtered and deconstructed interpretation of reality appears.
The exhibition shows photographs of four different groups (Model Works, City Works, Immediate Works and Portraits) and includes original recordings in light boxes, prints of entire films and prints of sections, as well as the actual camera and its drawing devices.
