poster for “One World. Many Voices” Exhibition

This event has ended.

“One World. Many Voices” explores the unique ability of art to connect people across cultures, geographic borders, language barriers and generations. Each of the artists in this group show expresses a contemporary, yet timeless view of our interconnectedness to each other, and to the world around us.

Through a spectrum of paintings, mixed media and works on paper, enter a world transformed by the collective energy of light, spirit and cross-cultural synergies.

* Amy Cheng’s works on paper invite us into a mystical and playful world of colliding cultures through the intermingling of Eastern and Western folk imagery.
* Rosalind Schneider’s recent “Tree Fantasy” series, where streaks of light appear to infuse ordinary trees with an otherworldly life force.
* Miriam Brumer drawings appear to be lit from within --- connecting the viewer to some self-generating life force that gives each piece an illusion of breathing.

The exhibit will also be introducing the work of new artists including Melinda Hackett and Yasemin Kackar-Demirel.
