Tony Feher's “Wall Show” is the first exhibition to focus on sculptures specifically intended for the wall. Feher continues to relentlessly exploit the individual characteristics of his chosen materials, allowing them to express something contingent to that material. His understanding and use of found and re-purposed materials is intuitive and inventive. Hung by pins or a nail, weightless fibers can drift, pliant synthetics can sway and metal can awkwardly dangle. Feher’s wall works often share a natural resilience as they benefit as much from a fastening knot as they do an instigating breeze.
