Artlog.com and Gallery Bar present the last in a two-part group exhibition series at Gallery Bar. The exhibition of avant-garde art brings together six generations of international artists, curated by Lukas Baden and Janet Oh, students in Columbia University’s M.A. curatorial program.
The circuitous conditional thinking that marks the title of the show also pervades the works of these artists. They create art with surreal, whimsical, idiosyncratic, and often humorous tendencies, bordering on the uncanny. Like members of a family, the works share a spiritual similarity and possess strong common features: they are visually rich and beckon the viewer to contemplate their elements.
