"Immaculate Collapse" Exhibition

This event has ended.

Immaculate Collapse resides in the cross-currents between Manifest Destiny, self-destructive narcissism, and planned obsolescence. This is a place where the end is set at the beginning, where destiny’s plans are thwarted by the individual’s behavior of usurping the power from a higher authority.

Theo Ligthart’s “das korn” specialty liquor will be served for a limited time to an exclusive group in a compromised living space dominated by Thomas Lendvai’s massive site-specific wall installation—which appears to be slipping through the ceiling. OLEK’s crocheted performers will do their best to keep the wall from finally crashing through the floor, while Peter Soriano’s cable & spray-paint constructions anchor themselves across the wall opposite.

Immaculate Collapse is the end of the party and the start of the lawsuit. And only a few of us are invited.
