"Studio Sundays: Designer Dining" Workshop
Museum of Arts & Design
This event has ended.
Most of us have either fond or impartial memories of the tableware and flatware that we grew up with. You may be able to vividly recall the avocado-colored plates with daisy motif, or the thick amber-tinted drinking glass that your mom thought was “groovy.” We will look at plates, flatware, and various dinnerware items from our Permanent Collection and current exhibitions to address function, design, ergonomics and other elements that artists consider when designing items that are used for serving food items. The workshop will focus on creating your own original dinnerware item using various materials.
