Harold Reddicliffe "New Paintings"
Hirschl & Adler
This event has ended.
For Reddicliffe, painting is as much about the act of looking—and seeing—as it is about the process of creating a work of art. He states that his paintings “explore the transformation that occurs when ordinary objects are subjected to extraordinary scrutiny”. Reddicliffe reveals the complexity of the engineering of his objects, by depicting them accurately in scale and color and placing them tightly in deliberate, formally constructed compositions. Structure, function, and elegant geometry are celebrated as Reddicliffe’s objects glint and gleam in pristine universes.
