This event has ended.

For the first time ever, the Fashion Institute of Technology’s Fine Art Collective and the Underground League of Illustrators will address the elusive and controversial issues stemming from the similarities and differences of the respective artwork they create, sharing space at the 2/20 Gallery, 220 West 16th Street, New York, NY. Works exhibited span a large spectrum of media and do not exceed 20” by 30”.

The difference between an illustrator and a fine artist ranges from subtle to screaming. Artistic ideology, style and size vary and converge in their work and philosophy. The intent of the Art Collective and the Illustration Club is to force these issues into the open before the viewer and to challenge outright the popular images caricaturing both groups.
