The twenty five paintings titled The Third Day are part of an ambitious project the Danish artist Engerhardt is undertaking, which consists of a long series of paintings inspired by the book of Genesis from the Old Testament. Accordinfly, the world was created in seven days; hence Ms Engelhardt is creating seven series of paitnings that literally have their motifs derived from the text in the Bible.
