M.Y. Art Prospects hosts an artist talk by Takahiro Kaneyama, a New York-based photographer born in Tokyo in 1971. Kaneyama will discuss and share visuals from three ongoing photo series that have become catalysts in reconstructing memories of his family. His documentary treatment of the three aging women in his life (his mother and two unmarried aunts) and his late grandmother's birthplace are powerful reminders of the ambiguity and enduring resonance of family bonds.
