This event has ended.

New York based artists Ivory and Shelter Serra will pervade Fuse Gallery with sculptures, prints and a floor-to-ceiling photographic installation. This impressive collection of artwork depicts Americana — cultural objects, American flags, old airfields, and abandoned streets. Critiquing advertising and mass consumerism, the Serra brothers transform products of consumption into images and objects of aesthetic contemplation.

Ivory Serra is a freelance photographer. He started as an assistant to photography heavyweights like Annie Leibovitz, Mark Seliger, Martin Schoeller, Antoine Verglas and Peter Beard. He was the in-house photographer for Alleged Gallery, documenting the artists and artwork showed there. His photographs have been published in several magazines including Rolling Stone, Revolver, Newsweek, ID and Time, as well as in the books Hip Hop Immortals, the Beautiful Losers exhibition book and most recently his monogram, The Serra Effect.

Shelter Serra is a multi-media artist. He has participated in group shows both nationally and internationally including venues such as Alleged Gallery, Renwick Gallery, and Bravin Lee Gallery in New York and Space 1026 in Philadelphia. He has had solo exhibitions throughout Japan, New York City and San Francisco.
