"Clamoring to Become Visible" Curatorial Talk and Artist Panel

BAC Gallery

This event has ended.

Clamoring to Become Visible examines how the written word interacts with and often replaces the normative notion of visual aesthetics within the gallery space. Often aesthetically subtle and intimate, the handwritten, embroidered, and collaged examples of text-based art selected for the exhibition represent fourteen contemporary artists’ attempts to explore everyday issues such as isolation, identity, spirituality, and communication.
