This event has ended.

The artists in the Summer Exhibition all share a common global address. Their work is as diverse as the worlds they come from. Dhruvi Acharya resides in Mumbai and has exhibited her luscious socially conscious paintings throughout India. Yasamin Keshtkar resides in Brooklyn where she recently graduated from Pratt with her MFA. She mixes her Persian and Polish heritage in paintings that often include intricate references to Persian textiles. Mary Nangah lives and works in Queens where she elaborately cuts, weaves and sculpts hair of all types on both her human subjects and in her paintings. A recent MFA graduate of Parsons, Mary was born in Cameroon and moved to Texas when she was 12. Conrad Ruiz grew up in Hacienda Heights California. He recently returned to LA after completing his MFA at California College of the Arts in San Francisco. Conrad draws upon cinema and fantasy painting a created childhood of controlled catastrophe. Didier William is originally from Haiti and now lives and works in New Haven, CT where he recently received his MFA from Yale. His largely abstract works exhibit a vivid color palette full of textured depth and contagious vitality.
