This event has ended.

"Scarlet Fever" is a group exhibition of works by a diverse group of 8 artists who studied and worked together towards their MFA degrees at Rutgers University around 2000-2001. The show title takes it’s namesake from The Rutgers University athletic mascot, the Scarlet Knight. Scarlet Fever puts together a rare sampling of incredibly innovative artists whose voices and work expand upon and contribute to a major part and influence of current artistic practice. Having exhibited since their college days at venues such as The Whitney Biennial, Greater New York at PS1, The Studio Museum of Harlem, The Center for Contemporary Art in Seattle, The Ballroom in Marfa, TX, White Columns, The Bronx Museum, The Athens Biennial and The Queen’s Museum to name just a few, the included artists exemplify the edge of current ideas and trends. All taking their inspiration and aim from history, theory, contemporary practice and culture; their works collectively span most known mediums of sculpture, painting, drawing, art/cultural criticism, video, media, photography, performance, sound, installation and mixed media.
