"The Candela Structures: A New York City History Mystery" Exhibition
The City Reliquary
This event has ended.
Originally built for the 1964 World's Fair and still standing along the Flushing Bay waterfront, the Candela Structures are among New York's quirkiest, most distinctive architectural forms.
The Candela Structures: A New York City History Mystery, a new exhibition produced by journalist Paul Lukas and architect Kirsten Hively, tells the story of these underappreciated fiberglass structures and the surprising degree of mystery and misinformation surrounding them.
