" Conference/Symposium Japanese Art in America: Building the Next Generation" Exhibition
Japan Society Gallery
This event has ended.
This public symposium, the final part of a day-long professional conference, will open with a presentation from special guest Hideki Hayashida on the role of the visual arts in Japan’s international cultural exchange. Following the presentation, moderators from the three morning and afternoon sessions will report on their discussions, put forward concrete proposals for addressing the challenges facing the study and display of Japanese art in the United States, and make the case for the contribution that Japanese art can make to American culture.
