“BILBAO ARTE: NEW YORKen” is a representative exhibition of projects performed by resident artists at the Bilbao Arte Foundation from 1998 to 2008. This exhibition, which marks the 10th Anniversary of the foundation, includes a series of works which represent some of the most consolidated trends within young Basque art and highlights the variety of the modes, techniques, forms, themes, etc. used by the artists who have given shape to their creative projects in the Centre over these years. The result is a show of the immense plurality of the creations that have seen the light of day in the installations of Bilbao Arte, a plurality that is also that of contemporary Basque art and of which this exhibition is but a small demonstration.
