This event has ended.

In December, the entire Gallery will be dedicated to Celebrating Central Park— in honor of the 150th anniversary of the acceptance of Olmsted’s and Vaux’s “Greensward Plan” for the design of the park.

December’s guest exhibitor is Sara Cedar Miller, the official photographer and historian for the Central Park Conservancy. Over the past 25 years, Miller has captured colorful spring blooms, glorious autumn landscapes, snow-covered arches and majestic trees, fountains and
water bodies. Her book, Central Park, An American Masterpiece, has received critical acclaim around the world. Miller’s newest book, Seeing Central Park, will be published in 2009.

Miller‘s exhibit will introduce a new portfolio of color and black and white images consisting of familiar as well as seldom-seen Central Park views, all celebrating the splendor of the world's greatest public space. Proceeds from the sale of the prints will support the Conservancy's mission to restore, manage, and preserve Central Park, in partnership with the public, for the enjoyment of present and future generations. www.centralparknyc.org
