Arturo Herrera Exhibition

This event has ended.

Arturo Herrera’s work taps into the viewer’s subconscious, often taking found imagery that is then fragmented, abstracted or otherwise obscured. What remains evokes a sense of familiarity – something recognized or remembered – but at the same time the work remains open-ended. The exhibition features a new series of wool felts that hang from the wall in tangled forms. Herrera has long worked with felt but unlike his earlier works that lay flat against the wall, these fall away from the wall and spill onto the floor adding greater dimensionality and abstraction.
