A.D.: New Orleans after the Deluge, in the Second Floor Balcony Cases, features nonfiction comics by Josh Neufeld that follow the experiences of six real-life people from New Orleans before, during and after Hurricane Katrina's devastation of the city. Neufeld, a published comics artist, is a 2004 Xeric Award winner, a founding member of the online comics collective ACT-I-VATE and an associate artist with The Civilians, a New York-based theater company.

Clip-Art Comics, in the Second Floor Balcony Cases, is a collection of comics by David Rees who created Get Your War On and My New Fighting Technique Is Unstoppable. His comic series, Get Your War On, has been published in Rolling Stone, was featured as animation on 23/6.com and took to the stage in a theatrical adaptation, which won the Best Original Work from an Ensemble Award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
