Marcus is known for his meticulous paintings which comment on social and political issues. His paintings examine important topics such as foreign policy, immigration, discrimination, repression and corporate interests, issues which impact us all and play a major role in the future of the United States.
This comprehensive exhibition is the culmination of his profound commitment to improving the human condition and focuses on the impact of the Bush administration over the last eight years on the world.
Marcus was born in 1953 in the Bronx. He attended New York's Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art from 1972 through 1976 when he received his BFA. He graduated with his MFA from State University of New York, Buffalo in 1978.
