"Senior Citizens: Parsons Fine Arts Senior Thesis Show" Exhibition
This event has ended.
At Gallery MC New York
Media: Painting, Drawing, Sculpture
"Senior Citizens" features a bracing melange of innovative work by twenty-six emerging artists showcasing a broad spectrum of work that ranges in medium and conceptual virtuosity. Parsons is pleased to present these artists, who are no strangers to the ever-changing, ever-active New York art world. These politically aware and culturally diverse artists have experienced a lot and have much to say. Works range from a written manifesto on the nature of performance to opulent oil paintings of glamorized consumerism. From a crocheted map of lineage to faux archeological findings. From sardonic apron patterns that question notions of premature domesticity to reanimated film.
