Like twins separated at birth, the paintings of Ellen Hermanos and Tracy Silva Barbosa emerge from the same visual font of warm saturated color. While both artists find meaning through tone and texture, Hermanos work is abstract, formed with layered blocks of color, while Barbosa infuses her paintings with a nuanced narrative, driven by memory, personal symbolism and emotion.
