Brooklyn Artists Gym presents a cross section of work by BAG Artists In Residence. The show "Composition: Brooklyn Artists Gym Artists" represents artwork driven by a diversity of themes produced by the artists working in the BAG studios.

Who is a BAG Artist-In-Residence? Are they the sum of their parts? Like most of us they play many roles. They may be a care giver, soldier, critic or laborer. While the artists participating in this show lead diverse lives their paths converge in the BAG studio. Their work spans years and continents. The artwork in this show represents a clear composite of the stuff they are made of.

While all aspects of their lives are lived creatively, it is in the studio where the creativity is fine tuned and sharply focused.

The Artist at work is lost in thought. Ongoing multiple dialogues run through their minds in the studio. Concerns are addressed, questions are asked, years of development in technique are applied. The inner dialogue is ongoing.

The BAG studios are filled with a silence pregnant with possibilities.
