"All Our Pleasant Places” is a new photographic series by American
born photographer, Lex Thompson. This project is based on a series of
photographs that depict the construction of fantasy and desire in our
landscape, offering a return to the innocence of the Garden, but
revealing the frailty of the hopes we bring to the world.
Lex has always been an artist but turned his medium to photography in
2000 and received his M.F.A. in Photography at the San Francisco Art
Institute. He pulls inspiration from vernacular photography and nonphotographic
arts like sculpture and drawing. But it seems that art runs
in his blood; his father and sister are both photographers.
