This exhibition presents rare shadow puppets dating to the Qing dynasty (1644-1911). Drawn from the rich collection of the Shaanxi Provincial Art Gallery, approximately 90 puppets made of animal hide with dramatic pigments are presented thematically through famous Chinese legends and characters, exploring the history and life of the Chinese throughout the centuries.
