Tokion Magazine’s Creativity Now conference is an annual cultural event, taking place in New York and abroad. For one weekend the most creative minds in art, fashion, film, design, music and photography gather for an inspirational multi-disciplinary conversation. Previous speakers have included Brian Eno, Matthew Barney, Nan Goldin, Richard Prince, Stephen Shore, Willia Eggleston, Todd Haynes, Raymond Pettibon, Neil LaBute, Ed Templeton, Kim Gordon, Shepard Fairey, Ryan McGinness, Ryan McGinley, Asia Argento, Jeremy Scott, Kool Herc, Jason Lee, Kim Jones, Cory Arcangel, Justin Theroux, Proenza Schouler, Mike Mills and many others. Prior conferences have brought together over 2,000 artists, fans, and intellectuals to engage in the discourse of our contemporary creative environment.

Award-winning director/writer Harmony Korine (Gummo, Julien Donkey-Boy, Mister Lonely, Kids), star comedians David Cross, Maria Bamford and Zach Galifianakis, curators Kathy Grayson (Deitch Projects), Klaus Biesenbach (MoMA/P.S.1), Shamim M. Momin (Whitney Museum of American Art), Thomas Duncan (Gagosian Gallery) and Massimiliano Gioni (New Museum of Contemporary Art), José Freire (Owner of New York’s Team Gallery), Lizzi Bougatsos of Gang Gang Dance, New York-based artists Nate Lowman, Gardar Eide Einarsson and Hanna Liden, influential visual artist David Shrigley, comic book icon Gary Panter, comic artist C.F., artist/musician duo Lucky Dragons and contemporary artists Eduardo Sarabia and Harrell Fletcher
