This series of group exhibitions began as a curation project in 1995 with the aim of identifying those works that best represent each artist's interest in the experience of observation. This varies widely, of course, as a uniquely individualized creative pursuit. From exploring the effect of perspective and light on the eye to the influence of memory on how an object is perceived -- the paintings in this show reflect this exploration. Experienced, at some point by all representational painters, the art of seeing is invariably a life long challenge (conscious or unconscious) for us all as well. The artist simply hopes to lead the way
