"The Uses of 1968: Legacies of Art and Activism" Panel Discussion

Cooper Union (7 E 7th Street)

This event has ended.

1968 was undoubtedly one of the most momentous years in modern history. From the student uprisings at Columbia and the Sorbonne to the Beatles "White Album;" from the Prague Spring to the assassinations of Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King; from the rise of the Black Panther Party to the election of Richard Nixon, the year seemed unprecedented to those who experienced it. Panelists Sheril Antonio, Thulani Davis, MacKenzie Fegan, Jason King, and Martha Rossler will discuss their experiences of 1968 or the legacy of that period.
