This event has ended.

In her return show at The Phatory Poogy Bjerklie continues her painterly exploration of the landscape that surrounds her summertime home in rural Maine. And, as with her 2006 show at the gallery, she has created small-scale gems of oil wash on rag board that wonder into emotional terrain. Sky, tree, horizons are orchestrated in various array that offer moments of respite from ones inner disturbances and harken a return to searching nature for affirmation and enlightenment.

Ms. Bjerklie’s artistic career spans many disciplines. She holds a BFA from the Maine College in metalsmithing. Her textile work has been exhibited as part of several NEA sponsored shows of Appalachian art in Tennessee and Missouri. Her textiles have also been exhibited at Saks Fifth Avenue. She has been the subject of KETC-TV’s "St. Louis Skyline," and is the recipient of the City of Philadelphia’s "Dresses of the World" award.
