At Milk Gallery
Media: Painting

Utilizing a conceptual realistic approach, Michael's work in The Play of Shine and Shade portrays a realistic old masters style of figurative painting that depicts the artist's sometimes-distorted Surrealistic view of human psychology, a very personal view & play of different styles, making it his own. Having been referred to having a Odd Nerdrum approach to his work with sometimes a view of a Magritte or Dali Michael's primary influence of light and shadow is apparent throughout the exhibited pieces.

Milk Gallery

NYAB dropped by Milk Gallery and found itself in the middle of a bizarre, trendy opening reception. Paintings by the 31-year-old artist Michael Sagato all featured models with recognizable names. Corporate-sponsored vodka cocktails topped the night off.
