"Without Walls" Exhibition

Museum 52 is pleased to present the first show of its second year in New York City: Without Walls. Museum 52 has had a sculptural leaning in its programming since the opening of the London space in 2003. This exhibition features over 50 artists who have all been invited to present a sculptural work. The only specifications given to the artists were that the walls would not be used, and that the sculpture should be within the approximate dimensions of two foot high, one foot wide and one foot deep. The idea was to build a show through people we knew, whose work we admired, and others they, in turn, admired.
The intention is to create a situation where the works come together in a less direct manner allowing, we hope, an environment of interaction that is more seated in chance.
