MERGER is a group exhibition of bold new work by emerging Chinese and American artists. The work brought together explores a diversity of approaches to rendering the human figure. By turns ambiguous and definitive, the works presented are all evocative of one thing: the amalgamation of traditional techniques and contemporary sensibilities. Presenting paintings and sculpture, the seven artists selected for MERGER represent a range of markedly distinct perspectives.
