This event has ended.

Watching the Wolfman Dance the Foxtrot opens with the camera panning across a pond of Koi fish, slowly revealing the surroundings of its 'subjects', yet giving little to betray its source. Shot in black and white and executed within the urban boundaries of the Bronx Zoo, Carel renders her visual space into a multi-dimensional terrain where imagery and sound collapse and fold into each other. Centered on the experience of a visit to the zoo, an event both highly generic and personal, the video pushes the mechanics of memory and image-making into an interim territory where documentation and representation overlap with the dream life sphere.
