This event has ended.

An exhibition of monochromatic paintings and a selection of sculptures by New York based artist Martin Kline. Over the past two decades, Kline has developed a unique visual language that is equally inspired by nature and abstraction. In this exhibition, he explores how the concentration on one color, its value and nuance, can be used as a means to express a wide variety of emotions and intentions. While the inherent aesthetic relates to such 20th Century Abstractionists as the Russian Suprematist Kasimir Malevich, the German Group Zero artists, Yves Klein, Piero Manzoni, or the late Ad Reinhardt for example, Kline offers his own contemporary outlook. Having developed a technique that evokes textures found in nature, he creates an unusual mélange of organic forms and elegant abstractions.
