Offering an opportunity to understand the work of Gilbert & George and other contemporary artists, cultural critics and scholars examine how
racial, sexual, class, gender, and cultural identities are constructed, and how questions related to identity are reflected in art, music, and media. Panel includes Edwin Ramoran, Director of Exhibitions and Programs at Aljira, a Center for Contemporary Art; writer, broadcaster and musician Vivien Goldman; art critic Eleanor Heartney, author of Art and Today; and journalist and cultural critic Greg Tate. Moderated by Faith Salie.
