Explorations of emotional honesty in contemporary photography. Images range between the photo journalistic images of Lina Pallotta whose empathetic impulse is an act of love to the quiet and suprisingly intimate pictures from the advertising sets of photographer Joan Beard. Flim Still's photographer Jojo Whilden's images tell the epic stories of her children while artist Amy Elkins reveals the psychological vulnerability of her family from a recent series. Cara Phillips portraits shot with a UV filter of women's sun damaged skin reveals their beauty. Maria Gigante's film, Girls Room explores the pier dynamics in a simultaneously intimate and public space.
