Filmmaker Matthew Buckingham will be screening and discussing his film Muhheakantuck – Everything Has a Name, an installation piece and mapping project that explores the history and territory of the Hudson River Valley at the "prolonged moment" of contact between Europe and Native America, comparing and contrasting techniques of cartography and narrative. Mr. Buckingham is an innovative artist, whose work has been recognized by significant publications such as The New York Times, Time Out New York, Artforum, and Frieze.
