GHP & Dean Project present “Synthetic Experiments", new work by Greg Stewart and Chad Curtis. This exhibition of sculptural objects and drawings investigates ideas of mutation and synthesis, both as process and concept. Mutation, as it occurs, enacts the very possibility of change; its presence carries with it a trace of malignancy but also presents the potential for exhilarating migrations from the everyday. Synthesis, on the other hand, is a process of combining disparate elements into a singular whole, providing another system or opportunity for change. Both processes engage the idea of alteration through their own unique system.
