The choreography that takes place in Rebecca Saylor Sack’s paintings orchestrates color and form as subtle progressions punctuated by moments of surprise and incongruity.
Unfolding as a series of spontaneous developments, delicate passages juxtaposed with broad brushstrokes thread together a sense of disorientation, apprehension and tension that refuse conventions of space and time. The riotous compositions in flux effuse a disjointed rhythm that is simultaneously whimsical and conflicted.
